<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Two of Hays County’s frontier lawmen. <b><font size=-1>W. T. Jackman</font></b> (b. 1851). Texas trail driver and lawman, the son of a Confederate colonel. After 20 years of trail driving and ranching, he was elected as sheriff of Hays County, TX. Parlty printed DS “<i>W. T. Jackman</i>,” 1p, 8vo, Jan 26, San Marcos, 1894. Sheriff’s return beneath docket on verso of a suboena issued to J. S. Davis. Jackman reports “<i>nonexecution as</i> <i>J.S.Davis is not in the County</i>.” Boldly penned in brown ink. Light toning; o/w VG/Fine. Also included is a document signed by Texas Ranger <b><font size=-1>T. J. Jackman</font></b>, 1p, legal folio, Hays County, TX, Aug 24, 1907. Jackman boldly signs a complaint affidavit on a charge of aggravated assault “<i>upon the person of one Mary Cumby</i>” by Bob Martini. Top horizontal almost entirely separated with no paper loss; else Fine. <b>$100-150</b>

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
