Pat H. Martin’s Co., Randals Regiment, Texas Cavalry, write to Miss Jane Carroll in Shelbyville, TX, on the same sheet. <b>War-date</b> ALS, 2pp, legal folio, Lewisville, AK, Aug 19 & 20, 1862. Her brother, T.N. Carroll, somewhat ungrammatically, writes in part, “...<i>there is orders for this regiment to take up the line of march to Little Rock but I don’t much believe that we will go very far...for there is a good deal of sickness in our Regiment...generally the measels...bin seven deaths in the Regiment since we left Shreveport...be shure to tell the galls that I am coming back to Shelby County to get myself a wife.</i>..” More. On verso, John Price briefly writes informing the family that “<i>I am well at present and I am in hopes that these few lines may find you both well etc. My health has improved ever since I left home.</i>..” Boldly penned and signed by both. 1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
