The Terminator film series has always excelled at bringing audiences groundbreaking special effects on screen. 2009's "Terminator Salvation" is no different, returning Stan Winston's phenomenal puppets back to the big screen. The film follows Marcus Wright, a hybrid T-700 Cyborg sent to the future to stop the Resistance. This lifelike SFX puppet was used to depict Marcus (Sam Worthington) with his inner cyborg mechanisms showing. The puppet is extremely detailed, utilizing polyurethane, foam latex, and steel to bring the horror of Cyberdyne's experiment to life. Silicone lower leg inserts have been constructed to give the appearance of an endo-skeleton. The thighs are painted to resemble skin, and are made of foam. This puppet is seen in at 1:03:00 in the film after a mine explodes on Marcus and sends him to John Connor's base. Stan Winston's master Special Effects skills shine through in this creation that looks like one of Cyberdyne's own.
