Art Nouveau RSTK Amphora ceramic bust of a woman made 1890's in Turn Teplitz, Bohemia (now Czech Republic).

Measures 11 1/2 inches high.

From a series of Art Nouveau female busts, designed by Eduard Stellmacher during the late Victorian era. Bust of a woman in gathered, lacy dress with raised gilded floral highlights and floppy, turned up Victorian bonnet with punched holes and ribbons. Red-brown hair, moulded to look as though it is flowing in the wind / flying behind her as she moves - almost Medusa like in effect. Creamy matt ceramic face with extremely beautiful features. Demure expression, as though she is lost in thought/dreaming. Clothing is glazed, flesh and hair are matte. One of Stellmacher's most beautiful models.

Marked underneath with red-brown RSTK mark (urn with RSTK and Turn Teplitz BOHEMIA, as well as incised numbers.

Condition is good. Some neglible roughage on parts of the frilly lace, but no chips/cracks/restorations
