9-5/8" tall by 6-1/2" wide, it is hard white pottery covered with a Charcoal paint and having red cinnabar traces under the original dirt of the collapsed tomb. Musicians (this: a lady playing a small harp-like instrument at her shoulder) were important tomb companions to the Tang elite, as their spirits were believed to comfort and entertain the deceased forever in the afterlife. 8th-early 9th C. AD and without any mentionable faults or restoration.
