T3 $100 1861. This note is rich in history. It was dated May 14, 1861 at the Confederate Treasury Department. Then on May 20, 1861 it was paid out by an Assistant Commissary of Subsistence captain in Lynchburg. Next, it receives a "Pay Mobile Savings Bank" rubber stamping. From there it goes on to have cut and punch cancels. These have been neatly repaired and are hard to see while looking at the face of the note. A little bit of discoloration is noticed, but still a highly collectible note. Fine-Very Fine.
From The George P.
