'Dueling Pistols' Antique set of matched & cased percussion pistols with approximate .54 caliber smooth bores, manufactured in Liverpool, England circa 1860's. Both in the following configuration: A coverage floral scroll engraving, damascus 8" octagonal barrel with two inlayed silver bands adjacent to the nipple, silver cone front sight, fixed rear sight, smooth trigger, ebony ram rod with brass tips, German silver forend tip & barrel wedge escutcheons, and hand checkered varnished walnut stock with inlayed escutcheon on the top of the wrist. Includes a locking wood presentation case with green felt lined compartmentalized interior including powder flask, ram rod, ball puller, key and maker label on the lid. Barrels display muted twist patterns with hand engraved "Liverpool" on the top and have Birmingham proofs stamped on the bottom. The engraved hammers and locks display an aged grey patina while the trigger guards and ram rod bands display a mostly grey patina with traces of bluing. Action are sound, the bores are clear and the wood stocks are good to very good with some blemishes and small losses. Condition is NRA Very Good. ***Antique Firearm***
