For your consideration are four, colored glass lantern slides done by T. H. McAllister, titled "Economic Series" circa 1860-1900s. The glass slides come in the original case reading, "the Standard Lantern Slide Plates Manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester, N. Y. Successor to Standard Dry Plate Co. Trade Marks Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Keep In A Dry Place". The first slide is titled, "Listen To The Mocking Bird" and shows a man leaning out of his window, about to throw a boot at a bird in a cage. The second slide is titled, "If dese am yourn, Boss, you can have 'em" and shows a man holding some chickens and eggs while another man, his family and his dog stand over him with a gun. The third slide is titled, "Two souls with but a single thought" and shows a man and woman sitting on the porch, smiling and sharing a large piece of watermelon while two others watch from behind the door. The fourth and final slide is titled, "Boss of the Road" and shows a drunk man riding a mule, causing other men in wagons to go off the road. The slides show good condition overall with no signs of cracks or damage. The case shows wear from its age and use over the years. The slides measure 3 1/4" L x 4" W. The case measures 4 5/16" L x 3 1/2" W x 1" D. Magic Lantern.
