Condition: Very Good
To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in very good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a normal fluorescence of the artist's pigments. There are no signs of restoration. There are diagonal crease marks in all four corners caused by apparent shifting of the stretcher bars. There is minimal paint loss in the upper left and lower right corners along these crease marks, which are approximately two inches in length. The piece is framed in a simple gold frame. The frame is in good condition with some chips, wear, and slight separation in the corners. Verso: [handwritten on back of stretcher bar] Beef Issue at Ft.
