Additional Information: This Work is stamp signed with the ink Ink stamp of "Steinlen - Ex. Collection Georges Clavigny" at the lower right corner.
Georges Clavigny (1873-1946) was a French journalist and writer and was also a close friend of Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen.
The collection included many works of Steinlen that were probably given to Georges Clavigny.
His collection was forgotten for many years but was recently re-discovered and was sold by the french auction house Artcurial-Briest in Paris.
This drawing is painted from both sides:
On the front there is a drawing in blue pencil of a mother calling her child while a man is carrying an object.
On the back side there is a second drawing also with blue pencil of a woman carrying her child.

Provenance: Ex. collection of Georges Clavigny.

Condition: Good condition. Some surface dirt and some folds in the marginscorner.
