This drawing is a study for Steinlen's 1897 lithograph "Le Terme Franco-Russe"
This lithograph can be found in the collection of the British Museum in London.
Georges Clavigny (1873-1946) was a French journalist and writer and was also a close friend of Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen.
The collection included many works of Steinlen that were probably given to Georges Clavigny.

Provenance: Collection of Georges Clavigny.

Condition: Good condition apart from some minor creases, folds and cuts in the edges of the paper.
