Using a non-de-plume to create this and other iconimc images of the Vietnam War Anti-War protests in 1960's San Francisco, this artist can lay claim to popularizing numerous symbols (ergo: the title of this piece ) that are recognizable throught the Nation for the capturing the Spirit of a Generation, the Spirit of woodstock , and of the Hippies and the Peace Movement.
