Swords & Machete Weaponry Props From the 1930's
Swords & Machete Weaponry Props From the 1930's - Jerry Neeley was the legendary movie memorabilia collector, film historian (especially of classics, fantasy and sci-fi), writer, and owner of the famous "Jerry's Video" in Los Feliz, CA. Customers, collectors and throngs of directors, writers and industry people would come from around the world to talk to Jerry, whose knowledge and memory of film was encyclopedic, and also to visit his famous collection. These are three screen used prop weaponry used in classic films from 1930-1949 which were obtained from Neeley's infamous collection. They include an early 16th century rapier-epee, a 17th Century battle foil with sheath, and an African Machete, which may have also been used in the original "King Kong", and "Mighty Joe Young" among other adventure films of the time. Also included is a Letter of Provenience from Jerry Neeley's widow and co-owner of his various video and memorabilia shops.
