Caledonia Curry, known as Swoon, is a pioneering contemporary artist and filmmaker celebrated for her intricate paper cutouts and wheatpaste prints that explore themes of social justice, trauma, and community engagement. Emerging in the early 2000s alongside artists like JR and Banksy, she became one of the first female street artists to gain international recognition. Known for her detailed portraits, Swoon has wheatpasted her work in cities worldwide, including New York, London, and Tokyo, pushing the boundaries of street art.
