Swivel barrel flintlock Kentucky-style rifle, .45 caliber and .38 caliber, 38” octagon barrel, brown finish, striped maple stocks with fancy brass patchbox. This gun is in overall very good condition showing an even dark brown patina on barrels and lock mechanisms; the barrel is marked “H. Schultz, the bores are fair to good; the action is good; there are brass accents on the side of the two barrels where the wood ramrod is retained. The wood stock is in very good condition with a lovely patina, raised carving on the left butt stock, silver inlaid star above the cheek piece where there is also a silver rectangular plaque that has an un-readable name inscribed on it; there is a heart silver plaque at the top of the wrist and brass accents on the side of the barrels opposite the ramrod; there are a couple of small loss areas that have been worn down by handling and age. A really nice appearing antique swivel barrel flintlock rifle. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
