Swiss Percussion Schuetzen Target Rifle
The border engraved lock plate features a floral type engraving and is marked "Ls Tce Borel / A NEUCHATEL." Adjustable tang peep sight with a globe front sight missing the post. The Schuetzen buttplate and the spur trigger guard with finger grooves are also engraved. The side plate is a mythical winged creature with a fierce dog head and the breech plug has two gold inlaid bands. The full length stock has multi-point checkering on the forearm and wrist, a horn forend cap, sling swivels, three stock wedges, and a carved floral blossom on the left side. The buttstock has a raised cheekpiece on the left side and a shallow cheekpiece on the right side. Double set triggers, three iron ramrod pipes, and a wooden metal tipped ramrod.

Condition: Good. The barrel has a dark brown mottled patina with some minor spotting and the remaining surfaces have a smooth gray patina. There is some minor pitting and a screw is missing in front of the trigger guard. The refinished stock is very good with a minor crack on the buttstock (left side) and a wood filled repair near the breech (left side), along with some very scattered minor handling marks. There is some wear in the overall crisp checkering. The action is frozen.
