Swiss Model 1906/24 Bern Luger Semi Automatic Pistol

This is a late production Swiss Model 1906/24 Luger pistol that was manufactured at the Swiss factory in Bern Switzerland. There were approximately 17,000 of this model manufactured all being made after WWI when DWM could no longer manufacture or supply Lugers under foreign contracts. The chamber area is blank and the front toggle is marked with the "Swiss Cross/WAFFENFABRIK/BERN". The barrel extension, barrel frame and breechblock all have the small Swiss Geneva Cross firing proof, while the left side of the barrel extension has the small "+/M" Swiss acceptance proof. The left front edge of the frame rail has the single large "P" proof indicating that it was released from the Swiss Government. The full serial number (27370) is marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel. The extractor is blue and marked "GELADEN" on the left side. The grips are unique in that they have a smooth border on the front and rear edges with checkering in the center of the grip. It is complete with one original Swiss style nickel plated magazine with the later style brown resin material base.

Very fine with 98% plus of the arsenal refurbished blue finish with edge and high spot wear. The various small parts retain 90% of their straw colors. The walnut grips are excellent with sharp checking on both sides and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This example has all matching numbers except the firing pin, which is unnumbered and the magazine as noted above.
