Swiss Model 1906/24 Bern Luger Semi Automatic Pistol with Holster

This is a early production Swiss model 1906/24 military Luger pistol produced at the Swiss factory in Bern Switzerland. There were approximately 17,000 of this model ever produced, all being made after WWI when DWM could no longer manufacture or supply Lugers under foreign contracts. The chamber area is blank and the front toggle is marked with the "Swiss Cross/WAFFENFABRIK/BERN". The barrel extension, barrel, frame and breechblock all have the small Swiss Geneva Cross firing proof, while the left side of the barrel extension has the small boxed "+/M" Swiss acceptance proof. The serial number is marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel. The extractor is blue and marked "GELADEN" (loaded) on the left side. The grips are checkered with smooth borders on the front and rear edges. It is complete with one original Swiss style nickel plated magazine with a walnut base that is numbered "85" but is missing the small metal inserts on the sides of the base. This comes with an original Swiss military holster that is partially marked on the back: "MULLER/SATTLER BERN". The luger comes with a Swiss style leather pull strap still attached to the rear of the holster. The right underside edge of the frame rail has a small importers mark dot-marked in the metal of "OOW INC. CHARDON OH.1924 SWISS 7.65".

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% of the blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear with some refurbishment apparent on the grip straps. The walnut grips are in excellent condition with nice matching color on both sides with nice sharp checkering and minimal handling marks. The various small parts retain 90% of their straw colors overall. The holster is in good condition with nice tight stitching and visible markings on the back showing much wear on the overall surface of the holster from actual military use. Still a very nice late production Swiss Luger rig.
