Used by the Swiss military from 1882 to as late as 1950. The grooved walnut grips on this revolver indicate that it was a later production model while the earlier guns will be seen with checkered hard rubber grips. There is a lanyard ring at the bottom of the pistol grip. It features a blade front sight and notched rear sight, fluted cylinder and mechanical rod ejection. All serial number markings match. Straw colored hammer, trigger, cylinder latch and ejector rod retainer. Swiss cross is marked on the left side of hammer, bottom of the trigger guard and rear left barrel flat and various Swiss proofmarks appear on the left side of frame forward of the cylinder.
