Swiss Bern Model 1929 Luger Pistol Rig

This is a nice example of an early 1929 Swiss commercial contract Luger as manufactured by the Bern factory Switzerland. These 1929 pistols were the last configuration as used by the Swiss. The top of the chamber is unmarked and the front toggle has the "Swiss Cross in a Shield" markings. The 7.65mm barrel is correctly numbered on the side of the shoulder and has a small "Swiss Geneva Cross", acceptance proof on the underside with the full serial numbered on the left side frame rail (and not on the front end) and again on top of the rear toggle. There is a small Crown over "M" on the right side rail and a small "Swiss Geneva Cross" acceptance proof on the major components indicating acceptance at the Bern factory. It is fitted with a standard Swiss, nickel plated magazine with the unnumbered brown plastic base. The serial number has the single "P" proof indicating release by the Swiss Government. This excellent Luger is complete with an original late pattern Swiss Luger leather holster and shoulder strap. The back of the holster is stamped: "W.GEERING/BERN/32" and is complete with one spare Swiss Luger magazine.
