Svengenhelm style forged-iron helmet with hammered bronze rim and nose piece. The helmet shows hand-forging and crude manufacture and is definitely antique. Though we cannot guarantee it to be of the period,it certainly looks from the crude manufacture to be genuine. Armor was so rare that it was heavily copied even 100 to 200 years ago and it is possible this is a museum quality reproduction, however the aging and patinaappear very old. Made in the style of Northern Europe, our only objection is that the helmet is light at only 1.05lbs. Est: $600 - $1,200+++
