Swedish explorer (1865–1952) who mapped the Himalayas and other regions in Central Asia. Vintage 4 x 6 photo of Hedin in an overcoat and hat, signed in black ink. Photo is affixed to a slightly larger board. Light overall silvering to darker areas of image and background, not detracting from the bold signature, otherwise fine condition.
