Born in Newtownards, Co. Down, Susan Webb comes from a very artistic family.
Having received training from a young age from her artist father Kenneth Webb
and godmother, Clare Cryan, she was already an accomplished artist on leaving
school. She held her first solo show at the age of 18 in Kenny’s Gallery,
Galway. Her work combines her love of horses with a great appreciation of the
Irish landscape. She cites Peter Curling, well-known equestrian artist, as her
influence. Susan is currently resident tutor for the Irish School of Landscape
Painting and holds frequent exhibitions at both Kenny’s Gallery, Galway and the
James Gallery, Dalkey.
