Rare vintage 4.25 x 6.5 crystal-clear cabinet portrait of Anthony in intense profile by Mrs. L. Condon of Atlanta, signed in black ink, “Susan B. Anthony, Feb. 15, 1820 – August 28, 1895.” In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling and rubbing.

The 27th Annual Convention of the National American Women’s Suffrage Association was held in DeGive’s Opera House in Atlanta, January 31 – February 5, 1895, presided over by its president, Susan B. Anthony. The February 10, 1895, edition of The Atlanta Constitution reported that Mrs. Condon “made a picture of Susan B. Anthony that she has ordered 500 pictures mounted to distribute among her friends.” Mrs. Linnie Condon of Atlanta, the photographer, was called “The Best Woman Photographer in America” in a May 27, 1902 article in the Atlanta Constitution. This is undoubtedly one of them.
