Surfite composite, repurposed cut material, set into a sterling silver pedant. 1 5/8" L. 5 grams weight, surfite & silver. Surfite, also known as Surfstone, is a re-purposed material made from resin waste that's left over during the surfboard glassing process. Normally this product would be cleaned off floors & out of trays & discarded. This waste material is utilized for it's unique & colorful characteristics. The recycling process involves many slabbing, cutting, shaping, sanding, polishing & assembly stages.
