<B>Supreme Court: Letter Signed by 10 Justices.</B></I> Typed Letter Signed "<I>Charles E. Hughes</B></I>," one page, 8" x 10.5". Albany, March 11, 1908. New York Governor Hughes sends his autograph to Manning P. Brown of Passaic, New Jersey. <B>Charles Evans Hughes</B></I> later served as Associate Justice (1910-1916) and Chief Justice (1930-1941) of the Supreme Court. A collector had the following nine Justices add their signatures to this letter in the upper right margin: <B>Hugo L. Black</B></I> (Associate Justice, 1937-1971), <B>W.O. Douglas</B></I> (1939-1975), <B>Potter Stewart</B></I> (1958-1981), <B>Wm. J. Brennan</B></I> (1956-1990), <B>Byron R. White</B></I> (1962-1993), <B>John M. Harlan</B></I> (1955-1971), <B>Warren E. Burger</B></I> (Chief Justice, 1969-1986), <B>Thurgood Marshall</B></I> (1967-1991), and <B>Harry A. Blackmun</B></I> (1970-1994). Light mounting stains on verso.
