<B>Bushrod Washington Signature and Autograph Letter Signed.</B></I> Bushrod Washington was the nephew of George Washington and inherited Mount Vernon from Washington. Later, he would serve as a Supreme Court Justice. The letter presented here is one page, 7.25" x 9", Walnut Farm, Virginia, June 12, 1802. It reads, "<I>Judge Washington presents his most respectful compliments to Mons. Pichon, and requests the favor of him to forward to Ge. Lafayette the enclosed letter by the first conveyance.</B></I>" He signs the letter in the third person. The signature measures 3.25" x 1.5", and reads "<I>Respectfully yours Bush. Washington.</B></I>" <BR><BR>Both items are in fine condition; the letter has the usual folds and has been tipped into another sheet of paper; the letter has small areas of redox spots on the lower right edge; the signature has been clipped from a larger document and also has several visible folds.
