<B>Supersnipe Comics V2#1 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Street & Smith, 1944) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white pages.</B></I> Gerber "white spaces" are always intriguing for the Golden Age collector! The Crippen collection has at least 20 of the "white spaces," and those are just the ones we've discovered so far! And of course, the reason we mention it is because this very issue is one of those that Ernie Gerber couldn't find to photograph for his <B>Photo-Journal</B></I> -- Gerber even noted "may not exist" for this particular book. This is also the only issue of the series that Overstreet designates as "rare." For clarity's sake, we should note that this is the "real" V2#1; the next issue was mistakenly given the same number. In addition to the antics of the title character, this issue has a Huckleberry Finn story drawn by Clare Dwiggins. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $488.
