<B>Superman #1 (DC, 1939) CGC Apparent FN/VF 7.0 Slight (P) Off-white to white pages.</B></I> This beautiful copy is an excellent example of what professional restoration can accomplish -- we've seen quite a few restored copies of this key book (and indeed, it's more often seen with restoration than without), but whereas with some copies it's the <I>restoration </B></I>that jumps out at you, here it's just <I>attractive condition</B></I> that you notice. This issue is one of the top five in the entire hobby, and some have said that its significance takes a backseat only to <B>Action Comics</B></I> #1, as this represents the first time that a character created for comic books was given his own series. The cover by Joe Shuster is nearly as famous as that of <B>Action</B></I> #1, and by the way, the back cover pin-up is the first one in the history of comics.
