Superior's Santa Clara Elite Coin Auction

Auction Details

Welcome to Superior Galleries July 22-23, 2005 Elite Auction, which will be the official auction of the Santa Clara Coin Expo. This sale which is held one week before the World's Fair of Money will hold numerous special collections and highlights, some of which have not been on the market in almost half a century. These include but are not limited to the following:

The Fitzgerald Nevada Club Reno Hoard Collection of Morgan Dollars and Chip Sets and Tokens, a stunning array of Morgan Dollars, Tokens, and Chips from the famed Nevada Club in Reno.

This auction is particularly rich in $4 Stella rarities, including lot 424, an 1879 $4 Flowing Hair NGC PR65UCAM, a simply stunning fully Gem specimen with fresh resplendent surfaces. Lot 425 is an even rarer 1880 $4 Gold Coiled Hair NGC PR63, perhaps only one of less than a dozen known specimens.

The Early Silver Dollar section begins with lot 1101, a 1794 Flowing Hairs PCGS AU58, the Cardinal specimen.

One of the major highlight collections in this auction include The Pacific Rim Collection of Proof Liberty Double Eagles, a few dozen coins that range in dates from 1860 through 1907, with many cameo issues.

Other highlights include The Golden Gate Collection of United States coins, an old time collection with coins that have not been on the marketplace in decades.
