Supergirl (1984) - Supergirl (Helen Slater) SFX Flying Model Miniature.
Made of silicone, cast resin and foam latex rubber components over internal posable wire armature. Expertly studio painted and finished in the iconic blue, red, and yellow superhero costume colors with the "S" insignia emblazoned on the chest. Fabric skirt and cape added and finished with blonde human hair.
Measuring 14".
Made by legendary visual effects supervisor Derek Meddings.
Original special effects model miniature of "Supergirl", played by Helen Slater on the production of the Jeannot Szwarc superhero film 'Supergirl' (1984), where after losing a powerful orb, Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, comes to Earth to retrieve it and instead finds herself up against a wicked witch.
Starring Helen Slater as Supergirl, along with Faye Dunaway, Hart Bochner, Peter Cook, Mia Farrow, Brenda Vaccaro, and Peter O'Toole, with Marc McClure reprising his role as Jimmy Olsen from the Superman films.
