<B>Superb-quality, beautifully engraved British medals:</B></I> (1) 1897 bronze medal in commemoration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. 39 mm, plain edge. Obverse shows the aging monarch in her veil and famed Small Crown (made for her 1887 Jubilee) and the legend, in Latin, notes Victoria, Queen & Empress. On the reverse, "VICTORIA" in the center with a wreath beneath and the dates 1837-1897, and above the Royal Insignia of the Order of the Garter, which also graces the gates of Buckingham Palace, in case you've never been there to see it. Choice Proof with lovely mahogany-brown surfaces. A delightful memento of a long-gone era; (2) 1900 bronze medal commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Ireland. 39 mm, plain edge. A marvelous Old Veiled Bust portrait of the grand old lady. Reverse features a floral "flow" and inscription denoting the visit during the monarch's 63rd year as Queen. Choice Proof, lovely mahogany-brown surfaces. A delightful piece which is inexpressibly inexpensive for the portraiture; (3) 1897 silver Diamond Jubilee medal. Victoria. Young and Veiled head, with respective dates of 1837 and 1897. 26mm diameter. As struck, a Gem with gorgeous silvery gray toning; (4) 1902 silver Coronation medal. Edward VII. 31mm diameter.
