Very fine. Approximately half of the original gold is present, strongest in the protected areas of the frame and the lower right side of the barrel, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the exposed areas and scattered light handling marks and dings. Mild shrinkage of the excellent grips, with an attractive aged color, strongest on the left panel. Case is very fine, with some cracking on the lid, mild dents and chips, antique brass patina and mild wear and tear on the velvet. Mechanically fine. A crack is visible in the oiler, and some minor gold loss, otherwise accessories are excellent.
