A superb portrayal of an English Staffordshire seated white & gilt spaniel dog, with an embossed No 2 underneath. Mid 19th Century ( 1850's ). Featured in the A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs by Clive Mason Pope. Good coloring & facial expression. Embossed collar, lock & chain with gilt. Overall height approx 10". Max base sizes of about 6" X 3 3/4". Considering the age, the overall condition is good and is not subject to any major blemishes except for a few fine & minor hairlines underneath & due to age, subject to overall fine crazing. All property is sold 'AS IS', and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor by the title and description information along with the photographs provided. Connoisseur will attempt to describe the merchandise in its descriptions and photographs but makes no representations. In no event shall Connoisseur be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value & condition.
It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor of items being bid on and purchased. While Connoisseur endeavors to describe each item accurately, Connoisseur can not be responsible for any errors or omissions in that the description of the merchandise is provided by the consignor. Bidder agrees that everything is sold as is. When bids are made, sales are final and no returns are accepted for any reason. Should an item be damaged in shipping, the buyer will have purchased insurance to cover said loss and collect from the insurance carrier direct. Under no circumstances will the Bidder hold Connoisseur or its agents responsible for any problem created by the internet auction provider.
Your sole recourse for any item you do not wish to keep after winning it at auction is to pay for the item and then reconsign the item for sale on your behalf at a future auction.
