Super fine part silk Persian-Pak Kashan round Rug. 100%natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and softest baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. Given the fact that handmade rugs are a product of desert like environment, more often than not, they typically employ primary colors to absorb the harsh sunlight. So, it is rather rare to come across rugs with soft tones or predominant beige and light color background such as this royal Kashan. This is an exceptionally intricate and exquisite piece with its beautiful shah-Abbasi flowers is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and it has about 160 knots per square inch. The glowing silk high lights give this piece a three dimensional character. Size: 7 feet X 7 feet. Country of origin: Pakistan.
