This is a gorgeous and artistic part silk Isfahan with an unparalleled elegance inherent in its arabesque floral pattern embracing in its midst, the most beautiful sunburst central medallion. Given the fact that city of Isfahan lies at the edge of the desert, it is only natural to use primary colors to absorb the harsh sunlight in order to be soothing to the eyes. So, it is rather rare and unusual to come across such a highly intricate Isfahan on a beige background. Where a typical Persian Rug is limited to a range of about twelve and sixteen colors, this lovely piece features more than thirty eight different colors. The silk high lights shimmer as if they are raised above the Rug surface, giving a three dimensional character to this piece.
