Albert Luandrew (1906–1995) known as Sunnyland Slim, was an American blues pianist who was born in the Mississippi Delta and moved to Chicago, helping to make that city a center of postwar blues. Two items: a black felt tip signature, "Sunnyland Slim," on a white 5.75 x 4 card; and a faded pink necktie personally owned and worn by Sunnyland Slim, which is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from a former owner, which reads, in part: "During the decade of the 70's, I owned many different bars and night clubs in and around Chicago. Many of my venues used blues players for live entertainment, one such was Sunnyland Slim. This necktie was Sunnyland's favorite, and you can see him wearing it on many of his publicity photos and LP covers. One evening a female patron of my club talked Sunnyland out of the tie to keep as a souvenir. I was surprised he gave it up. Later she was to give it to me to keep for my collection." In overall very good to fine condition, with expected wear to the tie.
