A fine Chinese Celadon with a pale green color and choice combed and incised decoration, this large rice bowl is 6-3/4" across and 2-3/4" tall and was chosen by myself for its fine design and perfect body (most from that wreck were either kiln-flawed, misshapen, chipped or hairlined). Several references from China date this type to Northern Sung, however it is clear that production did not end then, so it is possible this is later....call it 12-14th C. Brought up from the sea in North Java and bought by myself from the divers about 2001.
