Shams al din Muzaffar Shah III - Second Reign, Silver Rupee, 10.69g, Dar al Darb Ahmedabad Mint, AH 992, Obv: “sultan muzaffar shah ibn Mahmud shah” within double square with dots in between, marginal legend probably, “al sultan al a’zam khallada allah mulkahu wa sultanahu” and mint name, Rev: Shahada within double square with dots in between four caliphs in the margin (G&G# G647). Very fine, extremely rare.
In 1583/ AH 991 Muzaffar Shah III regain the throne for very short span. He strucked coins in Mughal pattern in his second reign. Coins dated 991 are rare but coins dated 992 are extremely rare. Muzaffar shah was later captured by Mughal army, he made suicide near Dhamdka- Kutch.
