French writer (1839–1907) who won the 1901 Nobel Prize in Literature. ALS in French, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.25 x 7, no date. Untranslated letter to a friend. After his signature, Prudhomme adds a postscript, quickly initialed at the conclusion. In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, with vertical fold touching first letter of signature and a bit of scattered light soiling.
