<td width="100%">
This type of jewelry was made in Czechoslovakia/Austria/
Hungary areas in the late 19th to early 20th century; pieces are
unmarked. The metal is gilt over brass (some wear), and there is
white metal in the "U" or "C" on both pieces, which resembles
Etruscan Revival work. The stones are faceted and cabochon
rhinestones all over the designs in various sizes, set amid gold
beads of at least 2 designs, and open lattice. The necklace has a
6-1/2" chain on each side, and an oval push in connector. The
pendant part drops 3" and is almost 3" across at the top. The
overall length is about 16." The matching bracelet has five
sections, the center being 2" wide x 1-3/4 tall, and convex. The
length is approximately 6-5/8." There is a large box and
tongue clasp. One jump ring has been replaced (gold tone). I
have a 6-3/4" wrist and the bracelet is too short for me.
Rhinestones are all bezel set: green, red, blues, citrine, and
purple. The necklace weights 1.7 ozs., bracelet 1.8. I have
never seen any other pieces like these.
