From the personal collection of astronaut Stuart A. Roosa's daughter—two pieces of exercise equipment used by Apollo 14 CMP Roosa to maintain strength and circulation for his mission. One device is the EXER-GENIE Exerciser, an adjustable and variable resistance training tool with a suggested workout label that amusingly breaks the sets into 'revolutions.' In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an official NASA lithograph of Roosa in his white space suit, and a notarized letter of authenticity from Roosa's daughter, Rosemary, who attests: "This letter certifies that these exercise devices were used by Apollo 14 Astronaut Stuart A. Roosa."

From the EXER-GENIE website: 'The EXER-GENIE Exerciser was developed as a way to allow astronauts to train for missions and to exercise while in space. NASA was attracted by the lightweight and small size of the EXER-GENIE Exerciser and decided to put the exercise concept to the test to see if it could provide a valid method for exercising astronauts in micro gravity. Using the Lockheed Human Performance Laboratory in Sunnyvale, California, NASA scientists put the EXER-GENIE Exerciser through a series of extensive studies based around Isometrics, Isokinetics, Isotonics, Variable Resistance and Resistive Aerobics. They found the unit to be extremely effective in conditioning muscle fiber and maintaining bone mass in micro gravity.'
