Strangers on a Train (Warner Brothers, 1951). Lobby Car Strangers on a Train (Warner Brothers, 1951)
Strangers on a Train (Warner Brothers, 1951). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). The appreciation for this twisted tale of murder has only grown over the years, as each successive generation discovers the near-perfect craftsmanship of the film. Aside from the clockwork of the plot, audiences have grown to appreciate Robert Walker's sinister and sexually suggestive performance as well as memorable Hitchcock shots like the murder filmed through the eyeglasses of the victim. The lobby cards are printed with a dark palette, appropriate for the film's noirish, tone, with both the color and evocation of mood vivid. The first card has some light abrasions in the black frame around the image, the second card has some smudges in the right border, and the fifth card has several pinhole tears. Otherwise, though, the cards have received little use and have been kept in excellent condition, ensuring that they will be revisited as often as the film. Very Fine/Near Mint.
