Alas, it's not really the Cap we all know and love; the Acrobat has disguised himself as the patriotic super-hero. The interior art is by Dick Ayers and Steve Ditko. Ditko, who draws the third appearance of Dr. Strange, tells the tale of Dr. Strange being lured into a trap by Baron Mordo. That tale also has the first appearance of Victoria Bentley, and the feature starts as one of the regulars with this issue. Elusive in this grade, the example at hand has the second highest CGC-grade to date for this issue. With bright colors and brilliant gloss, this specimen is stunning. Overstreet 2003 NM 9.4 value = $475. <I>From the Edenwald collection.</B></I> <B>Estimate: $1,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
