DC's first science fiction title was one of the relatively few to have premiered in the early 1950s and continue successfully into the Silver Age. In fact, the venerable title ran well into the Bronze Age. Outside of the first issue, this one is the most valuable in the run, with the origin and first appearance of Captain Comet. Carmine Infantino created the cover and provided interior art, along with his usual mates, Gil Kane and Murphy Anderson. CGC notes, "From the Dallas Stephens Collection". Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $3,000.
