For bidding is a 1980 signed Hornick Brothers Stoney Point Decoy depicting a laughing gull. This piece is a true work of craftsman ship, hand carved from a block of western pine, signed by Raymond Hornick and dated 1980. This decoy was hand carved in Oak Hall, Virginia by the brothers. The Mallard is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the Americas. Male birds have a glossy green head and are grey on their wings and belly. This carved decoy measures 15" x 6" x 6 1/4".
