Lot of six. 1) Elm Orlu Mining Company. #38 unused. Circa 1900. Black print on white with gold seal. Oval mining vignette. Red pen cancelled. 9 ¾” x 8 ¼”. The company held two claims, the Elm Orlu and Poser, north of Walkerville and west of the Black Rock group of the Superior & Boston. The mine had a 1,000’ shaft showing at a depth of 500’ a 6’ vein of highly argentiferous copper ore, assaying up to 4.5% copper and 100 to 300 ounce per ton of silver and small gold values. 2) Four unused I. X. L. Mining and Milling Company. Although incorporated in Washington, the mine was actually in Trout Lake, British Columbia.
