This Is A Bronze Sculpture Of An Ox In Motion. He Charges Through The Terrain And Looks Right Briefly, Caught In This Position. His Face Is One Of Warning And It Seems He Was Surprised By Something During His Bolt. His Mouth Is Slightly Open In A Menacing Look, His Ears Are Low And His Magnificent Horns Bow Low Past Them. The Detail Work On This Piece Is Intricate And Describes This Mammal Wit Marble H Precision, From The Hair Detail To The Face And Hoofs. He Runs On A Solid Black Marble Stand. This Is A Solid Brown Patina Finish Made Using The "Lost Wax Method". This Sculpture Is Signed By Barye. Antoine Louis Barye Was Born In France September 24Th, 1796 And He Died 1875. Most Of His Work Was Focused Exclusively On Animals, Most Of Them Wild. He Was Considered And Animalier, A Sculptor Whose Works Are Mostly Animals. Barye Is A Very Accomplished Sculptor And Artist, He Has Exhibited Some Of His Works In The Salon And Some Of His Works Reside In The Lourve.
