Steyr-Hahn Model 1912 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #9809Y, 9mm parabellum, 5'' barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut grips. Left side stamped ''08'' to signify conversion to 9mmP cal., with original manufacturing date of 1919 stamped to right side of slide. These pistols were mfg'd for Austria during WWI, some of which were placed in storage after the War. When Austria was annexed by Germany in 1938, the two police forces were integrated. Approx. 60,000 Steyr-Hahns were reworked by Mauser and converted to 9mm. Right triggerguard bow with police markings ''W(eagle)30'', as well as eagle-''L'' police proof. Additional Austrian markings are just behind the rear sight. Condition is excellent as reworked, retaining approx. 98% blue. Grips with minor flattening. Action is crisp, bore is mirror bright.
