Stevie Ray Vaughan / Blackbird 1971 Austin, Texas Concert Poster. An original silkscreened cardboard window card advertising a week's worth of shows for the first band Stevie Ray Vaughan ever formed, Blackbird, playing at the South Door Saloon in Austin, Texas from Saturday through Thursday, June 5-10, 1971. The guitar legend was only 16 years old at the time.

It's believed that only 100 silkscreened prints were made for each of Austin artist Robert Burns' popular early SRV posters, and they seldom come up for sale half-a-century later. Rock-music collecting had not gained any traction yet in 1971 – Goldminemagazine was still years away – so the posters were seemingly only saved for their artwork appeal, by those in Austin and surrounds.

This is the very first time Heritage has been able to offer this rare, early gem. You just never see these come up for sale, anywhere. This one's the earliest of them all, and in this writer's opinion, the best-looking one. Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
